Ecotherapy
Nature has a profound impact on our mental, emotional, and physical well-being. At Therapy OnCourse our environment of choice is the Golf Course. We tap into the therapeutic benefits of the great outdoors, helping you embark on a journey of physical and emotional wellness through a round of golf.
Why Ecotherapy?
Revitalize Your Mind and Body
In today's fast-paced world, the constant buzzing of technology, requests from family and demands of work can leave us feeling drained and disconnected. Ecotherapy provides a retreat from the chaos, allowing you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty that surrounds us. A cathartic conversation while traversing the fairways of a scenic masterpiece can rejuvenate your mind and body, reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.
Foster Inner Calm and Clarity
Nature has an incredible ability to quiet our busy minds and create a sense of peace within. Lose yourself in the natural beauty and majestic layout of a picturesque course as you engage in a casual therapy session allowing space for reflection, mindfulness, and self-awareness.
Nurture Meaningful Connections
Humans are social beings, and our well-being is intricately tied to the quality of our relationships. Therapy can improve communication skills, fostering healthier relationships and interactions with others.Ecotherapy not only deepens your connection with nature but also fosters meaningful connections as it encourages self-reflection and self-exploration, leading to a better understanding of one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as you relate to the world around you.
Connect with Your Authentic Self to Solve Problems
Modern life often pulls us away from our true selves, causing us to lose touch with our core values and desires. With a counselor as your “caddie”, my role is to help you successfully navigate the undulating landscape of life while plotting through a meticulously designed course with challenging fairways and inviting greens. Through this process, you'll discover a renewed sense of purpose and direction helping you find creative solutions to problems.
About Me
My corporate years in the FinTech industry cultivated a love for the game of golf. While my passion, gifts, and education converged onto the second act profession of therapy. An undergraduate degree from Morehouse College, an MBA from the University of Georgia, and an upcoming master’s in counseling from Northwestern University, have provided top-notch education while marriage, family, entrepreneurship, loss, pain, struggle, triumph, and success provided invaluable experience and wisdom. Rooted in the modalities of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Theory, my clients find the clarity, solutions, and understandings they seek – improving not only their lives, but producing a ripple effect positively impacting the lives of those around them.
I deeply value being of value. And I believe we are all imparted with unique gifts, interests, talents, and experiences…intended for helping one another. I just happen to be educated, highly skilled and gifted in the field of therapy while deeply enjoying the game of golf. So, let’s get your life on course…while on the course!
